27th December 2008
We started the Saturday by sleeping in until 9.00am. Then we made our way into Melbourne. There were a lot of traffic heading for Lake Eildon through the Black Spur. We began with a great breakfast at Lazy Moe's. Rach and Raph had sausage and egg on toast. Rach had her eggs poached and Raph's, scrambled. I had the Moe's large breakfast which consisted of 2 sausages, 2 egss (fried), 6 rashers of bacon, half a roasted tomato, fried onions and mushrooms as well as toast. The toast were pretty tough to cut or eat. We washed it down with a cappucino for me, hot chocolate for Rach and blue heaven milk shake for Raph.
Then we proceeded to Eastland shopping centre where we watched the movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly. Was rather surprised to see the cinema half full for a matinee. After that we went to Eastland Optometrists for me to have my eyes checked out and made a new pair of glasses.
Got to church early and found good seating upstairs. Went for dinner after that at Glen Waverley Shopping Centre. Was rather surprised to see so many people around and parking was hard to find. We ate at a Chinese restaurant called Rock Kung. We ordered roast pork, roast duck, steamed veges, steamed fish and sweet and sour pork. The Rs loved it. We had it with rice. Raph had 7 bowls of rice and Rach 6! Unbelievable.
We reached home around 11.00pm. There were quite a few cars going through the Spur, going home after a day on the lake at Eildon.
